During PRINTING United Expo 2026, In-plant Impressions Editor Bob Neubauer talked with three K-12 in-plant managers from different parts of the country about how they’re growing their operations and taking on more work. They discussed the expanding role of production inkjet in curriculum printing, opportunities to bring in work from other school districts, and the surge in wide-format graphics, stickers, finishing, apparel, and other services — plus the equipment and automation they’re eyeing for the future.

Participating in the conversation were:

  • Chad Simpson, director of Printing Services, East Baton Rouge Parish Public Schools, Baton Rouge, LA
  • Sylvia Palmer, supervisor of Reprographics & Records, Jurupa Unified School District, Jurupa Valley, CA
  • David Bryson, Print Shop Operations Manager, Hillsboro School District, Hillsboro, OR
