Three Tips to Sell Higher Value Print Jobs to Your Clients
If you want to improve your average job cost AND profit margin here are three simple strategies:
1. Add an upsell
But keep it to 15% or less of the total job cost so it is a no brainer. Too many people make upsells too high a percentage of the total job value, so customers are put off by them.
2. Add a higher profit margin to the upsell
Customers rarely price check upsells so you can increase the profit margin for this element. It’s a great way to make a job more worthwhile.
3. Give your team an upsell matrix
Anyone who is customer facing should be tasked with upselling. But it can be hard for team members to come up with the right upsell at a moment’s notice. That’s why creating a matrix of the right upsells will give them confidence to upsell and make sure that the right upsells are offered at the right price.
