If You Don't Carry Out This Simple 5-Minute Task You WILL Lose Business
Are the contact details in your LinkedIn profile up to date?
Many of the LinkedIn profiles that I have looked at recently did not have any contact details at all. Others had contact details from the past jobs. Some just had a personal email address. I wonder how often they are checked?
So why is this a big deal?
I was recently working on a print project for a client. I needed to get hold of some contacts that I haven't spoken to in a while. Knowing that some people move around to different companies, the first place I checked it out to see if I could get hold of them was LinkedIn.
I hadn't kept contact details for everyone. I didn't check out company websites. I didn't ask my contacts. It's much simpler and easier to check out a LinkedIn profile.
I know I’m one of many buyers who use LinkedIn as a valuable source of information
Remember that buyers like an easy life! The chances are that if your contact details aren't available, or aren't correct, on LinkedIn they will simply pass you over. They'll just move on to one of your competitors.
How upset would you be if you knew that you'd missed out on the opportunity to win a job simply because you haven't updated your contact details?
Do this one simple task now!
Go to LinkedIn. Check that your contact details are visible and correct. It will only take you five minutes. But it could stop you losing out on the chance to quote for a job.
