**Shout out to my friend Larry Bisso for this one**
I ride a motorcycle. Of the many things I love about this experience (which is relatively new in my life), one unexpected benefit has been that it has made me a better driver. I recognized this phenomena early on and Jennifer recently sent me an article that confirmed what I already knew.
Motorcycle riders can become better drivers by cross-training.
A key to sales success is diligence. After all is said and done, there is a "Just do it" moment in sales. Getting off the dime requires initiative. Then, you need to keep "Just doing it" over and over again.
Go lift weights.
Start an aerobic activity ... and keep it up.
In short, cross-train.
Find a healthy activity that requires upkeep and you will become a better and more disciplined sales rep.
Having great abs is just a side benefit.
