Komori Draws Nearly 300 for Open House
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL—To showcase its commitment to sustainability through press efficiency and reduced waste, Komori America hosted an open house on Oct. 2 for nearly 300 guests and print vendor partners. Attendees were greeted with a live performance by Japanese drummers, followed by a welcome message from Kosh Miyao, president and COO of Komori America. Yoshiharu Komori, president and CEO of Tokyo-based Komori Corp., also highlighted the company’s continued commitment to the global printing market, as well as its dedication to new product development.
Guests viewed a demonstration of Komori’s new KH-UV (Komori High Performance UV) drying system, which was showcased on an LS 840P perfector. Additionally, printers were shown how the Lithrone S series presses reduce makeready and waste with the ability to achieve stable color in just 20 sheets.
At Wikoff Color, Geoff Peters, president, has also has been tapped as CEO. He succeeds Phil Lambert, who will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
Heidelberg USA’s Saphira Bio process ink has been certified for Color-Logic’s process metallic color system—becoming Color-Logic’s first national certified supplier partner. The certification ensures that Heidelberg’s Saphira Bio ink can print on top of Color-Logic’s new process metallic color system’s non-leafing silver ink. In other company news, Susan Nofi, senior vice president of human resources and legal, has assumed leadership of Heidelberg’s Print Media Academy and Business Consulting unit for North America, in addition to her current duties.
Essex Products Group (EPG) customers purchasing a new KeyColor ink control system can now expand the EPG labor warranty beyond the standard period. The new annual service contract option is also available to current owners of previously manufactured EPG systems. In other company news, Peter Baldwin has been selected as Essex’s new Northeastern U.S. representative.
