High Praise From a Prospect
Have you ever received a phone call from a recruiter? So-called headhunters grabbed your name off of LinkedIn and call to see if you are interested in a position. Regardless of whether you truly are, it's quite a compliment and it feels good to be wanted, doesn't it?
As strange as it may sound, “Do you want a job here?” is high praise from a prospect as well. In fact, it's one of two of the best things you can hear a prospective client say to you, the other being, “I wish my salespeople were as diligent as you!” If you hear either of those statements, you have made a lasting impression.
Pleasant persistency might seem like an oxymoron, two words that don't feel like they should go together (think “jumbo shrimp”). But if it is your goal to grow new business, the single most important factor in your success is diligence.
