Flint announced that McDowell has said he regrettably will not be able to take up the position for personal and family reasons. PLYMOUTH, MI—Ongoing raw material trends, including supply shortages, have pushed up the price of pigments, resins and other intermediates used in the manufacture of heatset and directory inks in North America. As a result, Flint Group has announced price increases on those products sold in the United States and Canada. Prices will increase by 6 percent on heatset and directory inks and overprint varnishes, effective July 1, subject to existing contracts.

Increases range from 5-12% for products including alcohol substitutes, sheetfed fountain solutions, conventional and UV press wash, metering roller cleaner, film cleaners and deglazers/rejuvenators.
It is instituting a 6% price increases on all energy curable inks and coatings for sheetfed, liquid packaging and web offset applications.
