The New Super KTZ from MBO Features a Knife Folding Unit that Pivots 180 Degrees
WESTAMPTON, NJ—July 2, 2007—The MBO K800.2/4 Super-KTZ Perfection combi folder offers the market exclusive MBO enhancements, with the ability to fulfill critical operation requirements for flexibility and fast turnaround at a speed of 8300” per minute.
With innovation available only from MBO, the three-knife station of the Super KTZ, including the buckle plate and slitter shafts, pivots 180 0 from left to right and back, without time-consuming change-over. The locking device, developed with precision German-engineering and rock-solid stability, guarantees excellent folding quality in either position.
Incorporated with the ability for a multitude of configuration set-ups, Super KTZ easily changes from the left-exit’s traditional 16-page fold, to the right-exit’s 16-page ‘newspaper’ fold. Furthermore, adding either the economical Z-2 or Z-6 mobile knife folding unit - with their rotating knife (1800 ) for up or down folds, increases your ability to produce 32-page signatures such as the “English”, “International” or “German’ fourfolds.
Along with this exclusive mechanical technology, including the Slitter shaft cassette and ejector for wasted sheets, MBO accelerates automation with its computerized Rapidset make-ready system with motorized and repeatable adjustments from the feeder to the delivery. Our intelligent Navigator machine control, integrating production monitoring and machine adjustment, calibrates jobs based on production speeds, and monitors functions to prevent incorrect data entry. In addition to speed, quality, economy and versatility, the Super KTZ adds another important dimension, or should we say ‘non-dimension’… it saves space. The new Super KTZ Perfection, with 4 or 6 buckle plates, uses far less space than its buckle folder equivalent with a 16-page unit.
