Katrina Hill Opens New Minuteman Press International Franchise in Michigan

CLAWSON, Mich. - October 5, 2018 - For Katrina Hill, opening her own small business is a dream come true. Katrina is ready to serve the business community of Clawson with the highest levels of quality and service through her locally owned and operated Minuteman Press International design, marketing, and printing franchise, which recently held its grand opening in September.

Katrina says, "Right here in Clawson, we offer a quality that Minuteman Press International is known for. We are able to use a business’ name, image, or logo on items that they need to run or promote their business. This includes everything from banners to signs, shirts to promotional items, and business cards to posters, along with direct mail services."

With Minuteman Press International, clients will receive a personal touch from a team that cares about the success of other businesses. Katrina explains, "The most rewarding thing about owning this business is that I can watch a business we work with grow. People have to see a business and feel a business to know it exists, and we help our clients do that. When something is printed and you have that item in your hands, it creates a tangible connection and tells you more that you ever thought."

Getting involved in the community is important to Katrina. She says, "I believe every business should be involved with the community. They are supporting us so we should do the same. That’s what makes it a community. I joined the Clawson Chamber of Commerce, became a friend of the Rotary Club, and joined a local BNI group. When I came to Clawson, the first thing I did was volunteer for the parade. It was so much fun!"

While owning a business is new to Katrina, entrepreneurship is something that she grew up around and was instilled in her by her family. She states, "My parents owned several franchises that I worked for since I was 13." Katrina's background also includes 10 years in retail, seven years as a stay-at-home mom, and 16 years in banking in the compliance sector.

The reason Minuteman Press in Clawson stood out to Katrina was because of the local support that is provided by her franchisor Minuteman Press International. She explains, "After attending a franchise expo in Virginia, I researched several franchises, including Minuteman Press International. One of the main reasons I focused more on this opportunity was the consistency of their support that they provide to ensure the franchisees do well. The other was financial. From one perspective, as a franchise, they were very sound financially, especially year after year. The other, as a franchise, they helped you with everything from financing to opening your doors."

Katrina reflects on her decision, saying, "I have met so many people and other local business owners. Everyone has been so welcoming and I appreciate that. Opening my business in Clawson was exactly what I was supposed to do."
