ICS Corporation Invests in Dual Canon varioPRINT iX3200 Presses
ICS Corporation announced the purchase and installation of two Canon varioPRINT iX3200 sheetfed inkjet presses and a Muller Martini Vareo PRO InfiniTrim perfect binder, marking a significant expansion of its high-speed digital production platform, POD by ICS. This investment positions ICS to deliver one of the most efficient and scalable Print-On-Demand (POD) manufacturing environments in North America.
The addition of two Canon varioPRINT iX3200 presses provides ICS with industry-leading sheetfed inkjet productivity, exceptional photo-quality output, and the ability to support high-volume short run production across direct mail and book manufacturing. The presses will operate in a streamlined, automated workflow environment to maximize throughput and minimize touchpoints.
To complement its expanded print capacity, ICS has also added the Muller Martini Vareo PRO perfect binder equipped with InfiniTrim “Robot” —an advanced, fully automated binding solution engineered for variable book production and true one-off manufacturing. Designed for seamless integration into digital workflows, the Vareo PRO enables ICS to produce single-copy and short-run books with rapid changeovers and minimal downtime.
“This investment reflects our commitment to building the most efficient and technology-forward Print-On-Demand manufacturing platform in the market,” said Matt Bastian, CEO of ICS Corporation. “By combining high-speed sheetfed inkjet production with fully automated perfect binding, we are creating a scalable solution with the creation of POD by ICS supporting publishers, brands, and e-commerce platforms demanding speed, flexibility, and uncompromising quality.”
The integrated platform will allow ICS to:
- Produce high-quality books, catalogs, and marketing materials with offset-like appearance
- Support existing ICS clients who need shorter run print/mail capabilities
- Deliver rapid turnaround for single-copy and short-run orders
- Reduce waste and inventory through true on-demand production
- Scale capacity to meet growing demand from publishing and direct-to-consumer channels
The new equipment is being installed as part of a broader strategic initiative to expand ICS’s digital manufacturing capabilities, including workflow automation, finishing integration, and advanced production analytics.
