Girls Who Print Canada (GWPC), part of the world’s largest professional network for women in the printing and graphic communications industry with more than 12,000 members worldwide, has launched Community Huddles, a new monthly online event series designed to bring Canadian women in print together with mentorship, education, advocacy, and career development – empowering them to succeed and lead. The goal is to create an inclusive network of print professionals who will eagerly share their ideas, expertise, and experiences, regardless of their title or industry sector.
Each Community Huddle event will feature a GWPC Advisory Board member who will give attendees the opportunity to discover her career journey, lessons learned, and personal business perspectives. Each friendly, interactive session will be 45 minutes long, and begin with a pre-recorded Q&A, during which the featured guest will be available for chat discussions, followed by an open Zoom conversation with all attendees. The series will offer personal stories, career inspiration, and direct access to the women who are shaping the printing industry across Canada.
These sessions are for women at every stage of their careers, whether new to the industry, growing within it, or looking to reconnect with the power of community. The broader purpose is to strengthen representation, encourage retention, and create visibility for women across the Canadian printing landscape in an active, growing community.
“Community Huddles reflect exactly what Girls Who Print Canada is here to do – bring women in print together, elevate their voices, and create meaningful opportunities for mentorship, learning, and connection,” said Joanne Gore, Regional Director of Girls Who Print Canada. “By giving attendees direct access to the women within the Canadian print community, we’re helping build a stronger, more visible network to support one another and inspire the next generation.”

About Girls Who Print Canada (GWPC)
Girls Who Print Canada is part of the world’s largest professional network for women in the print and graphic communications industry. With over 12,000 participants worldwide, Girls Who Print offers mentorship, education, advocacy, and career development that empower women to succeed and lead.
In Canada, the need is clear. Women make up nearly half the national workforce, yet only 25–30% work in print, and even fewer hold leadership or technical roles. From signage and packaging to direct mail and in-plant production, Canadian women are making powerful contributions that often go unseen. Girls Who Print Canada exists to change that.
Through mentorship, spotlight features, educational sessions, and national networking tailored to the Canadian market, we connect women with leaders across every sector. Our programs deliver hands-on workshops, expert panels, and learning opportunities that build skills, visibility, and confidence – helping women advance and stay in the industry. Men who want to support this progress are welcome as allies, mentors, and sponsors.
We’re tackling representation and retention head-on through local and global networks, virtual and live events, and mentorship programs that showcase Canadian women and strengthen their careers. Our impact is evident in both numbers and stories, as members move into leadership roles, find mentors, and pursue opportunities they once thought were out of reach.
