“Through “dip”, Messe Düsseldorf is promoting young companies in particular. Companies with thematically relevant offerings can apply for exhibition space,” commented Bernd Zipper of ZIPCON Consulting, the “dip” coordinator. “A committee of international experts consisting of Laurel Brunner, Andy Tribute, John Parsons and myself will decide whether a company will be allowed to be represented at dip and also whether it is eligible for financial support. This is an important signal being sent by drupa to the market,” added Bernd Zipper. Companies admitted to “dip” will receive an all-inclusive package (e.g. stand construction, electrical supply, Internet connections) as well as make use of the “dip” lounge.
In addition to the “dip” exhibits, the two stages in Hall 7.0 and 7.1 will offer a comprehensive program of events. The activities in Hall 7.1 will be primarily related to JDF applications, while innovations from all “dip” sectors will be the topic in Hall 7.0 and international experts will discuss their “dip” impressions. For the first time, tours of “dip” are also planned in order to give new visitors a good overview of all the small innovations.
“For the first time at “dip” 2008, new visitor groups will also have a good starting point because the innovation parc offers a panoramic overview of the latest developments. From here, they can move onto a manufacturer’s main stand to research further details,” stated Bernd Zipper. Located at the center of drupa and next to the North Entrance, “dip” in Hall 7 is set to become an information hub.
