3. Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is no joke. Just because you are not connected to someone directly doesn’t mean you are immune. Imagine you say something about someone on social media and that person happens to know someone you know, and it gets back to him or her. I can tell you that I have found out that I have friends in common with people and I had NO IDEA that we both knew the same person. I once discovered this because someone I went to college with "liked" a post of the wife of someone I went to high school with, and it turned out the college buddy was dating the older brother of the wife. Worlds colliding all over the place.
The moral of the story is...be careful. You live in a hyper-connected world, and that means there is very little that is truly private any more. So watch what you say, where you say it, and who you say it to!
