The PIAG Executive Search Committee and the PIAG Executive Committee have unanimously confirmed the position of Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia president to Tim Taylor. Taylor comes to this position with over 20 years of experience in sales and management in the print paper industry, as well as numerous years in association membership and management.

PETERBOROUGH—GraphicDimensions, a Georgia-based company, will be opening a printing plant on Vose Farm Road in the building that formerly housed New England Business Services. Twenty or so new jobs are to be filled by August, when the plant is scheduled to be fully operational, Mike Baron, the plant's general manager, said on Friday. The company is leasing 21,000 square feet at 49 Vose Farm Road, plus some temporary office space while the permanent space is being renovated to fit the company's production needs.

MGI USA, the multi-substrate (paper and plastic) digital press and finishing solution manufacturer, announced that Knight Press, a leading full service commercial print provider, has purchased a Meteor DP60 Pro® four-color multi-substrate digital press. The sale and installation are handled by Paper Handling Solutions (PHS), MGI USA’s dealer for Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas.

In response to the strong demand for its digital plates throughout the Americas, Kodak has completed the previously announced expansion of its digital plate production facility in Columbus, Georgia. Adding 26,000 square feet to the existing facility, Kodak is using this third production line to meet the digital plate supply needs of print service providers in a wide variety of markets, and to further its commitment to advancing digital plate production processes and technologies.
