WINSTON-SALEM, NC—Jostens is closing its yearbook printing plant here over the coming months in an effort to consolidate operations, according to the Winston-Salem Journal. The move will result in the loss of 185 jobs.

MGI USA, the multi-substrate (paper and plastic) digital press and finishing solutions manufacturer, announced that they have added six new dealers to their U.S. network within recent months: The Oldham Group, Graphco, Paper Handling Solutions, Guaranteed Service & Supplies, Inc. (GSS Graphics), Print & Finishing Solutions and Ken Williams Graphic Consulting, Inc.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO—Angered that the state Revenue Department violated their privacy by allowing advertisements to be inserted in vehicle registration renewal notices, two Missouri residents have filed lawsuits in federal court. The Revenue Department had contracted a printer for the production of the notices. In return for the free printing of the notices, the printer—Imagitas—was given the right to sell and insert commercial advertisements in the notices. The practice saved the state $530,000, roughly half of what Missouri forked over for printing and postage. The lawsuit seeks class-action status and damages of $2,500 per person whose information is alleged to have been “improperly provided,” according to
