KBA North America, a global press manufacturer, announces that Ulrich Wicke, the former web offset sales manager for the Spanish and South American markets, will be taking over the position of vice president of sales and service for the web offset division in North America while Heinz Schmid, who has been the vice president of web offset sales for KBA’s newspaper and commercial web market for an unsurpassed 30 years will remain with KBA North America an advisory position to the team.

HP today announced the end of its successful beta testing program for the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer and a 150 percent increase in production capacity of the versatile flatbed printer to meet customer demand. HP also announced the first commercial installations of the printer at Fair-play BV in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Kürten & Lechner in Köln, Germany.

KBA North America, a global press manufacturer based in Williston, VT, and Dallas, announces that Mosaic, a carbon neutral waterless printing company specializing in commercial, digital, UV and waterless printing, has installed the first KBA Rapida 75 five-color 29-inch sheetfed press plus aqueous coater in the U.S. at its Cheverly, MD, location. The firm took possession of the press in January 2009.
