You’ve no doubt heard this before, but I come from the offset finishing world, and specifically the long-run finishing universe.

Highcon reported a successful drupa with a record $42M of orders taken during the show. A further 100 sales proposals were also issued.

AlphaGraphics in Seattle added a Standard Horizon SmartSlitter, while in San Antonio, Checko’s installed a Standard Horizon BQ-470.

For Polar, drupa 2016 demonstrated that the offset printing sector is very lively and digital printing continues to grow. In both areas, Polar is very well placed with its product portfolio. The main attractions on the Polar stand were the two laser cutting machines, as well as LabelSystem DC-11plus and CuttingSystem 200 PACE.

Well, I've put another "drupa notch" on my belt, and it was quite an experience. The weather in Düsseldorf was good, and the crowds were there. For those who have never been, the sheer size of the show, and the enormous investment by the hundreds of firms exhibiting are truly mind-boggling.
