Taking the world’s largest printing event that runs for 11 days and transferring it to an online experience is no small feat. As a matter of fact, it’s impossible.
But impossible is not new for drupa.
I recall walking around Messe Düsseldorf the day before the show opened in 2016 and there were exhibit stands and halls still under construction. I don’t mean a few touch-ups and tweaks needed here and there; I mean under construction! Yet miraculously when the gates opened the next morning there wasn’t a tweak, touch-up, or tool to be found… each hall was complete, pristine, and open for business.
If I hadn’t seen it myself, I wouldn’t have believed it to be possible. I can apply that to #virtualdrupa, too. The team at Messe Düsseldorf took on the Herculean task of bringing the event online and made the impossible, possible … again.
In this episode of #ThePrintReport Podcast, Pat McGrew and I recap our virtual adventures at virtual drupa April 20-23, and how we utilized the platform to optimize our learning and networking experience.
drupa Long and Prosper!
P.S. … virtual drupa is open for the rest of the year. Have your own adventure by registering at virtual.drupa.com – it’s FREE!
