Bang Printing Relocating Former Delta Printing to 130,000-Square-Foot Plant in Palmdale, California
VALENCIA, Calif.—June 4, 2015—Bang Printing, a primarily short- to medium-run book manufacturing company operating out of a 100,000-square-foot facility here, notified some 125 employees yesterday that it will be relocating to a 130,000-square-foot building it has acquired in Palmdale, California, reported The Santa Clarita Valley Signal. It expects to be fully operational at its new location in 2016.
The former Delta Printing Solutions operation, which was acquired by Brainerd, Minnesota-based Bang Printing in September 2008, is one of the largest printers of books, manuals, catalogs and directories in the western United States.
According to Holly Schroeder, president and CEO of the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation, the company was looking at reducing its operational costs and had considered relocating out of Santa Clarita Valley and possibly the state entirely. Although the Economic Development Corporation discussed possible incentive programs with Bang Printing to stay in Santa Clarita Valley, the company decided to relocate to Palmdale.
In 2013, Bang Printing also acquired Hess Print Solutions, of Brimfield, Ohio; and Victor Graphics in Baltimore.
