Rider Dickerson Moving to Expanded Location, Adding Equipment
CHICAGO—01/30/07—Rider Dickerson, a Chicago-area print services company since 1903, is pleased to announce its move to an 85,000 square foot facility, the December 2006 delivery of one of the fastest and most efficient sheet-fed presses on the market, the Heidelberg XL-105, and the addition of MatchPrint Virtual Proofing to its services.
Positioned for Growth: New Location, Larger Facility
In March 2007, Rider Dickerson is moving from its present location in Chicago to a larger facility in Bellwood, IL, just west of downtown. The 85,000-square-foot facility is conveniently located near the city as well as near airports and expressways. “The move is exciting—our new location is just 15 minutes west of our present location; the space will accommodate our new growth and have room for further expansion,” said Bill Barta, President.
Most Advanced Press in the Industry Added to Equipment Portfolio
Rider Dickerson has purchased the revolutionary Heidelberg XL-105 to bring even more productivity, technological intelligence, precision, and value to its client base. Expected to be running by February 2007, the XL-105 features the ability to provide 15-minute make readies; a speed of 18,000 sheets per hour; sheet size of up to 29.5 inches by 41 inches; state-of-the-art image and color control, and mark-free sheet transfer. The XL-105 can also handle substrates from onionskin to 40-pt board with ease. “The addition of such an advanced piece of equipment is an investment that is critical not only to our ability to service our clients with the most efficient and intelligent equipment available but also to defining our value and accelerating our leadership in the area print market,” said Gregg Leland, Vice President of Operations. At present, there are only 24 Xl-105s in the world.
MatchPrint Virtual Proofing Saves Customers’ Time
Rider Dickerson is also announcing the recent addition of Kodak’s InSite and Matchprint Virtual Proofing (MVP) system to save clients valuable time. The MVP system is one of the most advanced remote proofing alternatives on the market. “MVP allows us the ability to send color-calibrated electronic proofs to our clients and enables them to annotate the electronic proofs with corrections. It gets clients’ printed products to market faster,” said Bill Gibson, Vice President of Sales.
Rider Dickerson is a full-service commercial printer and has offered high-quality offset printing services for more than 103 years.
