PRINTING United Alliance Appoints Frank Tueckmantel Chief Branding and Engagement Officer
PRINTING United Alliance, the most comprehensive member-based printing and graphic arts association in North America, today announced that industry veteran Frank Tueckmantel has joined the organization as Chief Branding and Engagement Officer. In this newly established executive role, Tueckmantel will lead the Alliance’s enterprise-wide approach to brand strategy, communications, audience engagement, digital experience, and reputation.
“The Alliance has grown into an unmatched platform of people, expertise, content, education, advocacy, media, and events; but the full power of that platform depends on how clearly and consistently we bring it to market,” said Ford Bowers, CEO, PRINTING United Alliance. “Frank understands this industry, knows how to connect strategy with execution, and has spent his career creating experiences that bring people and business opportunities together. He will help us unite our voice, sharpen our market presence, and build deeper, more valuable relationships with every audience we serve.”
Established Track Record of More than 40 Years of Industry Experience
Tueckmantel brings more than 40 years of extensive experience and strategy spanning the technology and visual communications industries. He is internationally recognized for his work in face-to-face marketing, trade shows, live events, brand strategy, communications, demand generation, and experiential business-to-business marketing.
During his tenure as Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Electronics For Imaging (EFI), Tueckmantel led a worldwide marketing organization and oversaw a broad global portfolio that included trade shows and events, communications, brand strategy, demand generation, and industry relations. His industry leadership has also included service on trade show advisory boards and the drupa Committee of Messe Düsseldorf, where he contributed perspective and shaped strategy and approach for one of the world’s most influential printing industry exhibitions.
Tueckmantel previously worked with NAPCO Media, now part of PRINTING United Alliance, as Executive Vice President of Business Development. In that role, announced in 2019, he focused on developing an end-to-end customer engagement platform designed to help organizations extend the value of trade show participation before, during, and after an event. His return builds on an established understanding of the organization, its audiences, and the industry it serves.
“PRINTING United Alliance has an extraordinary opportunity to connect its many strengths through one distinctive brand and a truly audience-centered experience,” said Tueckmantel. “I believe the future of marketing is human connection at scale, bringing the right people together, creating experiences that matter, and turning engagement into measurable value. I am excited to return to the organization and work across the enterprise to make every interaction with the Alliance clearer, more connected, and more meaningful.”
In his new role, Tueckmantel will also provide strategic counsel to Bowers and the leadership team, establish shared priorities and measures of success across brand and engagement functions, and help align resources around the initiatives with the greatest potential to advance membership, event participation, audience reach, industry influence, and organizational growth.
