McFadden Acquires StarrToof Printing
MEMPHIS, TN—McFadden Communications has acquired the assets of StarrToof Printing Co. The company will continue to do business under the StarrToof name.
StarrToof reportedly is the oldest and largest commercial printing company in the mid-south. The company offers sheetfed and web printing, conventional and digital photography, design and prepress services, as well as foil stamping, embossing and diecutting capabilities at their two Memphis plants.
"The time was right to step up my involvement and investment in StarrToof," says Stillman McFadden, former president of StarrToof. McFadden will now serve as president and CEO of Starrtoof.
The new management team includes Ronald Martin, the former majority owner and CEO of StarrToof. Martin will work for the new company as an independent sales consultant. Rick Smith, the former vice president of sales for StarrToof, was named COO of the new company. Ed Garavelli has been named executive vice president. Garavelli is the former founder and president of Pinnacle Press.
