Graphic Arts Advisors (GAA), a leading M&A advisory and consulting firm serving clients in the printing, mailing, packaging, and graphic communications industries, is pleased to have served as exclusive M&A Advisor to Lake Graphics Label & Sign Co. Inc. in the sale of the business to West-Camp Press, Inc.
The owner of Lake Graphics engaged GAA to market the company, with the goal that operations be continued at the facility. Lake Graphics, a specialty printing company, offers a diverse set of capabilities, including specialty labels, wide-format graphics, and dye-transfer fabric printing. Their facility features state-of-the-art equipment in all aspects of production capabilities, making it an attractive candidate for being acquired.
The GAA team of Mark Hahn, Senior Managing Director, and Mitch Evans, Managing Director, led the efforts to find a suitable buyer for Lake Graphics. GAA conducted a curated outreach process and received significant interest from potential buyers. An offer from West-Camp Press, headquartered in the Columbus metro area, quickly rose to the top, with solid offers for both the operating company and the facility.
“The transaction involving West-Camp Press is an important reminder for sellers to consider employee-owned companies as potential suitors,” said Mark Hahn, GAA Senior Managing Director. “There can be a misunderstanding in the printing industry M&A marketplace that ESOP-owned companies may not be likely buyers because of the employee control implications, which is most often not a concern. In this case, the strategic logic and certainty of intent behind the offer from West-Camp was superior to all other options and led to a great result for our client.”
