Hundreds of new print systems will be on display at PRINTING United Expo, giving attendees a firsthand look at the latest advances in digital printing. Here’s a preview of some of the digital presses and wide-format printers slated to be on the show floor in Las Vegas.
Digital Production Presses
Two production printers from Canon USA (Booth N5801) will be on display: The ColorStream 7000 series and the varioPRINT iX1700. The ColorStream 7000 is designed for high-volume transactional, book, and direct mail printing. Backed by more than 15 years of engineering, it handles up to 7 million feet monthly at speeds up to 417 ft./min. with 600 dpi resolution. The varioPRINT iX1700 is a B3+ sheetfed inkjet press combining offset-quality output with digital flexibility. Featuring Canon Qualinx technology and 2,400 dpi resolution, it supports productive low- to mid-volume environments while expanding opportunities for high-quality digital print applications.
The AccurioPress C5080 from Konica Minolta (Booth N7425) combines intelligent automation with flexible production capabilities. Supporting media up to 360 gsm, long-sheet printing, and extensive inline finishing options, it delivers high-quality output, application versatility, and productivity in a compact footprint.
The RISO MICRXpress from RISO, Inc. (Booth N6121) combines full-color inkjet and MICR printing in one system. Using RISO ComColor technology and an &Stream processor, it prints simplex or duplex documents while applying MICR ink only where needed, enabling cost-effective check production on ordinary perforated white paper.
iJetColor Q
The iJetColor Q from iJetColor by Printware (Booth N5713) is an industrial thermal inkjet system for high-speed, full-color envelope printing. Powered by HP 108mm TIJ4.0 printhead technology, it produces up to 20,000 #10 envelopes per hour with high-quality CMYK output, durable printheads, and low-cost ink.
Sharp Electronics’ (Booth N6960) will be launching a high-speed production color machine and a color multifunctional press at the Expo, and Xerox (Booth N6729) will unveil both a toner and a cut-sheet inkjet press at the show. Details on these products, as well as a new digital label printer from Konica Minolta (Booth N7425) will be available in September.
