Defino Buys Tukaiz Back
CHICAGO—Creative services specialist Tukaiz finds itself back in the hands of the man who founded the company more than 40 years ago.
Frank Defino Sr. has purchased the full-service company back from industry consolidator priNexus, which had obtained Tukaiz in 2001. In addition to the deal, the firm announced it has completed work on a 34,000-square-foot expansion, bringing its total floor space to more than 100,000 square feet.
With the added space, Tukaiz is also exploring the possibility of adding bindery technology in the near term.
"The customer has always been the most important focus of our business," says Defino, chairman and CEO of Tukaiz. "Everything we do, and all of the decisions we make, are based on satisfying our customers and fulfilling their needs."
Aside from providing conventional and digital printing, and digital prepress services, Tukaiz also provides interactive and Website development, digital photography, finishing and fulfillment.
