Braintree Increases Black and White Printing Output with Xerox Nuvera 144 EA (Video)
BRAINTREE, MA—July 24, 2013—Braintree Printing, a long-time leader in the digital and offset printing industry and now a 3D print provider, recently added a Xerox Nuvera 144 EA production system to its arsenal of printing equipment. The Braintree, MA-based quick printer can now produce high volumes of black-and-white printed pages faster than ever.
As a Xerox Graphic Arts Premier Partner, Braintree Printing is part of an exclusive, global community of the world’s top digital printers. “We’ve had a relationship with Xerox for 30 years,” said Braintree Printing owner Jim Corliss. “We pride ourselves on investing in the most current technology in our industry and are constantly upgrading and acquiring new Xerox equipment to meet customer needs.”
Corliss said the Xerox Nuvera 144 EA will work alongside his other black-and-white digital printers: a Xerox Nuvera 120 EA and Océ VarioPrint 6250. The new Nuvera has the ability to produce two million pages a month, a substantial jump in output for Braintree Printing. It not only expands the types of applications Braintree Printing offers, from direct mail to training manuals to book publishing, but also offers sharper quality.
The Nuvera is capable of printing on many different types of paper, spanning 16-lb ledger to 90-lb cover at print speeds of up to 144 images per minute. The Nuvera EA Production System's outstanding image quality is the result of progressive monochrome technology. It produces fine lines with maximum detailing, sharp text, clear halftones and deep solid blacks that give pages a smooth, offset-like matte finish.
In keeping with Braintree Printing's "Green" policy, the machine’s environmentally-friendly EA (Emulsion Aggregation) Toner achieves better distribution of smaller particles for higher quality with less toner per page. The Nuvera’s non-stop operation means paper trays can be reloaded and toner/developer refilled while the system is running—increasing productivity and avoiding downtime.
