ICS Corporation has seen growth across nearly every division in the past 12 months, David Neff, president, says.
“In particular,” Neff explains, “we experienced significant volume growth and continued expansion in our variable data center and lettershop operations, as well as with LAMA, our agency services division. That growth has largely been driven by increasing client demand for integrated marketing solutions, data-driven communications, and partners who can offer both strategic support and operational execution.”
That growth is driven by what Neff describes as a “robust capital investment plan.”
“We are making substantial investments to support continued growth and strengthen our operational capabilities,” he says. “That includes the installation of several new digital presses, high-speed Epic inserters, additional FlowMaster technology, and the addition of a fifth commingling machine scheduled for July. These investments will increase capacity, improve efficiency, and further reduce turnaround times for our clients.”
And the company isn’t showing signs of slowing down on that front. In the coming 12 months, Neff plans to make investments in new production equipment, technology platforms, software enhancements, and additional personnel.
He also recognizes that his company is in a better position than some others in this regard.
“As a privately held company, we have the ability to invest with a long-term perspective, and we’ve been very intentional about directing those investments toward improving client experience, increasing operational efficiency, and reducing turnaround times,” he says. “Just as important: Staying closely connected to our customers gives us valuable insight into what’s happening in the market, which helps position ICS for continued long-term growth.”
When he thinks about that long-term growth, he is optimistic about the opportunities in the next three to five years. He calls out a few areas in particular that he is expecting to see strong growth, including “the future of our agency and data modeling services, as well as the continued growth of our print-on-demand business. We see strong opportunity in helping clients bridge online and offline marketing channels through highly personalized, data-driven communications. Over the next several years, we will continue investing in platforms, automation, and emerging technologies that reduce cycle times, improve marketing effectiveness, and create a more seamless customer experience.”
Flexibility and adaptability feature heavily not only in Neff’s own business philosophy, but also in the advice he offers to fellow printers looking to replicate his growth. He advises, “Stay flexible, remain client-focused, and listen carefully to what your customers are telling you. The market continues to evolve rapidly, and organizations that adapt quickly while delivering exceptional service will be best positioned for success.
“We are incredibly grateful to our clients, partners, and employees for another outstanding year,” Neff continues. “Their trust, commitment, and dedication have been central to our success. We remain focused on investing in our business, delivering the best buying experience for our clients, and positioning ICS for long-term growth.”
