Keith Sullivan, owner of Sull Graphics in Atlanta, describes his company's investment in workflow automation and process control. Its use of an existing MarcomCentral Web-to-print (W2P) solution has been enhanced with an Avanti Slingshot MIS package, which eliminates the need to rekey W2P jobs requiring estimating. Avanti Slingshot is also helping to automate the shop's invoicing, CRM, fulfillment and inventory control.

GLENDALE, CA—Industry trade printer 4over has announced plans for a new printing facility in Chicago. The Chicago plant is the first of what 4over says is many announcements regarding developments and expansions targeted for the first half of 2010. The company did not provide any details as to the number of employees or the size of the Chicago plant.

PETERBOROUGH, NH—Graphic Dimensions of Atlanta is opening a printing plant here in a building formerly occupied by New England Business Services, according to the Concord Monitor. The new facility will bring in roughly 20 employees when it opens in August. Mike Baron, formerly of Printegra Corp., has been named the plant's general manager, according to the paper.
