AJ Images is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the addition of a new manroland HiPrint R708PLV sheetfed press.

Sean Springett, 42, has been appointed chief executive of Manroland Sheetfed’s subsidiaries in Chicago and Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.

Michael John Mugavero Jr., CEO of Manroland North America, has passed away on Oct. 19 at the age of 63. Mugavero was a veteran printing industry executive, and worked for Manroland North America for the past 20 plus years in various roles.

Lancaster, Pennylvania-based Intelligencer has added a new Manroland HiPrint 700 sheetfed offset press. The new press will hang eight plates in four minutes, come up to color in 156 sheets and run at 16,000 sheets an hour. According to Intelligencer’s VP of operations, Joseph Schott, Intelligencer's clients will now enjoy faster turnaround times, less waiting between press approvals and better color control.

Manroland Sheetfed will be showcasing the Roland 700 Evolution, developed in response to the complex challenges facing printers today.
