The finishing systems salesperson has to work pretty hard to sell new against used, but it can be done. You've got to sell the ROI in today's workplace. That means labor savings, automation, accuracy and speed. In short, adapt your selling skills to the realities of today's printing industry.

Rollem International has announced several new print finishing installations at Graphic Arts Studio, Elk River Systems and Puget Bindery.

Lewisburg Printing of Lewisburg, TN, has added a new 90˝ Saber XXL paper cutter and auxiliary Schneider engineering paper handling equipment from Colter & Peterson. The Saber unit will finish top sheets, litho and cut and stack work performed on two 73˝ Roland 900XXL large-format presses.

Spiel Associates demonstrated a wide range of bindery and finishing equipment at an open house it hosted at its Long Island City, NY, facility. On display was a full line of Graphic Whizard creasers, UV Coaters, the new SCC slitter, cutter, creaser, and folders.

J.S. McCarthy Printers of Augusta, ME, is the first U.S. printer to install a Stahl KH-82 6KTLP folder with pallet-fed PFX feeder and Twinstacker TSH-70 delivery from Heidelberg. The new unit has so far saved J.S. McCarthy nearly 4,500 hours per year in folding production time, and the company is moving a large portion of its commercial signature work to the new machine.
