It’s a long way from the year 2000 when AOL famously bought Time Warner, a publisher of many printed titles.

PDQ Print Center has merged with Times Printing, both located in the Scranton, Pa., metro area. The companies are consolidating operations in the PDQ facility located in Taylor, Pa. The merger is expected to create jobs as the new company delves into more digital media offerings. GAA served as the advisor to both parties in the merger.

The acquisition of Staples Print Solutions, a division of Staples Inc., has been completed by Taylor Communications.

The merger of industry associations Idealliance and Epicomm is now complete, effective today. The combined staff of the new Idealliance is now addressing both the management and technology needs of industry companies across the entire visual communications supply chain. With the acquisition of Collins Inkjet, Kao Corp. will provide global customers with its innovative products and services.

Robbie Manufacturing has been acquired by Transcontinental Inc. The company specializes in on-site packaging needs.

In the first significant move under new CEO John Hans, Imagine! Print Solutions entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Midnight Oil Agency, a marketing agency based in Burbank, Calif., which at one time flew under the LAgraphico banner. The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the third quarter.

Forum Communications will enter into an agreement to purchase publications and a carrier delivery company owned by Helmer.

Xerox has announced the names of the new companies that will be created following the completion of its separation.

Kelmscott Communications, Rider Dickerson, The Buhl Press, wrapped up negotiations with a merger, creating Fuse, a $40+ million entity.
