According to The Herald, Walker faked about 100 invoices for amounts ranging from $1,400 to $2,500, and took more than $209,000 in all. Winthrop University was insured for all but about $10,000 of the amount.
Walker set up a PayPal account and would submit bills to the print shop, which were paid for by the university via a procurement card.
