Schawk Promotes Sarkisian
DES PLAINES, IL—A. Alex Sarkisian has been named COO by Schawk, a provider of digital imaging prepress solutions to the consumer products, packaging, advertising and promotions markets. Sarkisian has been a member of the Schawk management team for nearly 20 years.
Dow Jones Drops IP, Kodak
NEW YORK—Dow Jones & Co. gave its benchmark industrial average a makeover for the first time in more than four years, shedding International Paper, Eastman Kodak and AT&T Corp. The trio is being replaced by Verizon Communications, American International Group and Pfizer Inc.
Prism Award Goes to Time Chair
NEW YORK—Don Logan, Time Warner's media and communications group chairman, has been named the recipient of the 2004 Prism Award presented by New York University in recognition of leadership in the graphic arts and communications industry. The award will be presented by Thomas Quadracci, president and CEO of Quad/Graphics, at a luncheon on June 21. A special lifetime achievement award will be bestowed upon former Pitman Co. CEO John Dreyer.
