New Printing and Mailing Facility for TobeDirect
LOUISVILLE, KY—Direct marketing firm TobeDirect Inc. has outgrown its former space in Illinois and has opened a new mailing and print facility in Bolingbrook, IL, to accommodate its growth.
Founded by John Tobe in 1998, the company specializes in turnkey direct mail programs and cross-media campaigns. It offers one-to-one marketing campaigns with personal, targeted offers driven by end-user buying patterns, allowing clients to connect with customers on a more direct, personal level.
“We’ve been aggressively expanding our business for the past three years, but 2011 was our breakout year—we grew 87 percent,” reported Tobe, founder and CEO. “One of our reasons for this astounding growth was due to a major award from a Fortune 50 account for its direct mail postcard business. We were awarded a multiyear contract, which really boosts our requirement for production throughput and added capacity. We needed more space and more output capability, and that is what this facility is all about.”
The new plant is 300 percent larger than the company’s previous facility in the area, with double the storage space for customer product. It has capacity to output 1.5 million pieces per day.
“Also, the equipment housed in the new facility is all state-of-the-art print and production equipment designed to support direct marketers. It really is an outstanding facility, and we're very proud of it,” noted Tobe.
"We've invested in black-and-white and color digital presses, all with VDP workflow solutions designed specifically for direct mailers."
