Standard Finishing Releases ColorWorks Pro Plus Document Finisher for Xerox Versant 2100 Press
ANDOVER, MA—September 11, 2014—Standard Finishing Systems has announced general availability of the Standard Horizon ColorWorks Pro Plus, the all-in-one next-generation document finisher designed for operation in-line to the Xerox Versant 2100 Press. The compact multi-functional ColorWorks performs bookletmaking, creasing, bleed trimming, folding, stitching and stacking, making it a nearly full-service "bindery in a box."
The Pro Plus is based on the market-proven ColorWorks technology platform and has earned Standard successive “Finishing Partner of the Year” awards for outstanding sales results. The ColorWorks bookletmakers have earned a strong reputation for multi-shift performance and technical reliability.
The ColorWorks Pro Plus is the product of a close engineering alliance between Horizon International and Xerox. As a platinum partner in the Xerox Business Innovation Partner Program, the companies’ engineering teams collaborate to ensure seamless integration. Professional-quality document production is managed through an icon-based color touchscreen for quick, easy and accurate set-ups. Edge-to-edge full color bleeds are made possible with rotary head and foot trimming of posters, brochures, or booklets. And in-line creasing improves fold quality and avoids image-cracking induced by cross-grain stock.
The compact ColorWorks system performs corner, side and center-stapling functions, with booklet folding and face trimming. Finished booklets are delivered to an integrated motorized vertical stacker for convenience and space efficiency.
"We’re excited to announce the availability of the ColorWorks Pro Plus for the Xerox Versant 2100 Press," said David Reny, executive vice president, Standard Finishing Systems. "Horizon’s finishing expertise and flexibility along with Xerox’s technology, will continue to be a winning combination for print service providers."
The Horizon ColorWorks Pro Plus brings professional in-line finishing functionality to the Xerox Versant 2100 and opens up a wide range of applications for new and existing customers. The same bookletmaker is also connectable to the Xerox Color Press 800/1000 Presses. Upgrades are available for most Xerox DocuColor customers who already own a ColorWorks Pro finisher.
