Spotlight Graphic Solutions Acquires National GraphX and Imaging
SCHAUMBURG, IL —August 7, 2013—Spotlight Graphic Solutions, the wide-format services division of K&M Printing, expands its technical and customer service capabilities with the acquisition of Franklin Park, IL-based National GraphX and Imaging, company officials announced.
“With an extremely loyal client base and management expertise developed over more than five decades, National GraphX presents us with tremendous opportunity for growth,” relayed Chris Kelly, Spotlight vice president. “We now can offer clients an expanded choice of wide-format graphics solutions and innovative products at a time when shifting communications strategies challenge most businesses, from financial and health care to universities and nonprofits.”
The merger allows National GraphX an exciting transition for our clients, according to Barry Rubin, president. In recent years, the company has focused on wide format printing for corporate projects, retail POP, special events, museum exhibits and trade shows. “Now, through this merger with Spotlight, we have the opportunity to provide small format printing capabilities as well. We’re not going anywhere,” added Rubin, who, along with brother Steve Rubin, vice president, and 10 full-time employees will move to Spotlight’s facility in Schaumburg, IL. “We’ve gotten great response from clients who are excited to have greater access to new products.”
Rubin also added that the industry changes constantly, and the changes are not always in technology. The company, for many years, reigned as the Midwest’s premier photo provider. “You’ve got to keep finding cost-effective solutions that help clients achieve their goals. We’ve navigated so many of the cultural shifts that have challenged industry over the years that it becomes a matter of not ‘if’ but ‘when’ change will occur.
