Special Printing for Inauguration Book
CLIFTON, KY—Tuesday's inauguration of our nation's 44th president, Barack Obama, prompted a special printing by the American Printing House for the Blind. The printer produced 150 braille version copies of the Presidential Inaugural Guide Book, which were sent to the Presidential Inaugural Committee for distribution at the Inaugural, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported. It was thought to be the first time the guide book has been transcribed into braille.
Speaking of Obama, the new president made an unlikely appearance in issue No. 583 of the Amazing Spider-Man, released January 14. The comic is now in its third printing, but several reports noted that regular collectors are upset because the special issue has brought memorabilia hoarders and speculators out of the woodwork, driving up the price.
