Online Startup Looks to Innovate Sign, Banner Business
DALLAS—SignItUp.com, an international, tech-oriented sign printing startup, has been launched by Rick Cartwright. This online sign, banner and graphic design business follows in the footsteps of the Cartwright family-owned First Graphic Services Incorporated (FGSI), a sign and graphic services company.
"In one sense, SignItUp is not a startup," stated Cartwright, company CEO. "Considering the fact that we are already experienced entrepreneurs maintaining a successful 30-year-old company, it is hard to label our newest direction as a startup. On the other hand, it is a startup in the digital aspect. This is something new that we have never done before."
Cartwright believes that the Internet requires a new way of thinking about the business. Cartwright decided it was time to launch a new brand, and essentially start from scratch with a new business model, with the intention of succeeding in the digital space.
SignItUp seeks to innovate the custom sign business by offering more flexibility and easy design. Customers can design their signs and banners at anytime, on their time via easy-to-use, customizable templates.
