Segerdahl Takes Advantages of Technique MIS Direct Mail Functionality
SCHAUMBURG, IL—06/07/07—Segerdahl Corporation (Wheeling, IL), a leader in Direct Mail has invested in Technique’s full Suite of Management Information System (MIS) Modules and shop floor data collection solutions. The Technique solution will replace three existing products: EFI’s Logic, PAIS and SalesLogix (CRM).
Starting immediately, Segerdahl will commence integration of Technique’s integrated MIS to manage their entire print production. The Data Collection solutions will monitor all web presses and several pieces of the finishing equipment. The installation will be split into two major phases, beginning with commercial applications (web-based sales inquiries, estimating, quoting, etc.) and following shortly afterwards with production applications (order management, inventory management, scheduling, job costing, DMI and SFDC).
“After some significant product development to incorporate Direct Mail requirements into our software I am delighted that Segerdahl has chosen Technique as their MIS partner for growth and improvement. Our integrated suite will provide improvements in commercial activities, improved customer services and real-time awareness of the progress and costs of manufacturing. Our recent decision to move our office to Chicago positions Technique well to provide better service and support across the country.” states Paul Cooper, CEO, Technique Inc.
Gary Gardner, Segerdahl Group Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, commented: “Technique came out on top after our nearly one year long search due to the system’s ability to streamline the management of data through the full job cycle, from the request for estimate through production scheduling, shop floor data collection and billing. We were impressed with the way Technique’s people responded to our questions and showed us how the system can be adapted to our requirements. Segerdahl expects to achieve operating efficiencies and superior customer service once fully installed.”
