RMGT Sponsors Offset Print Insight Day at PRINTING United Digital Experience
RMGT, manufacturer of the leading 8-up sheetfed offset press in North America, will sponsor the Offset Print Insight Day at the PRINTING United Digital Experience on Nov 3, 2020. The PRINTING United Digital Experience is a 14-day online event and will run from Oct. 26 to Nov. 12, 2020. As each day will feature a unique market segment in the industry, November 3 has been selected to focus on Offset Print, and RMGT will be sponsoring the entire Insight Day’s program. This event will mark the North American debut of the new 8-UP+ RMGT 970 which will be showcased with a virtual press demonstration that will kick off the Offset Print Insight Day program. Free registration to the event can be accessed here.
“We are proud to sponsor the Offset Print Insight Day. It will be a great way to keep our industry united and moving forward. As THE 2020 Print Industry gathering, this event will be the debut of our new 8-UP+ RMGT 970 8-Color long perfector,” says Chris Manley, President of Graphco. “This year’s Digital Experience will be a springboard for the live demonstrations printers will experience at our Commit to Print booth when we return to the in-person PRINTING United 2021. We will be in the front row in Orlando, so RMGT continues our firm commitment to Offset Print which has become even more relevant during 2020.”
One of the highlights of the Offset Print Insight Day will be a virtual press demonstration of the new 8-color RMGT 970 long perfector offset press. “Using a series of unique, consecutive print jobs, the virtual demo will show a complete make-ready, printing 500 color accurate 8-up sheets completely dried and ready to move to bindery, using just one press operator, in under 6 minutes,” says Kian Hemmen, Director of Sales, Print & Finishing Solutions. “While widely recognized as having a great advantage in longer press runs, a key feature of the virtual demo will be to demonstrate the advantage of offset printing over digital in short-run print jobs.”
Since the merger between Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and Printing Industries of America (PIA) this year, the new PRINTING United Alliance has become the largest member-based printing and graphic arts association in the United States. The combining of these associations reflects the cross-over in the markets that commercial printers address, which accounts for 14 unique markets highlighted in the PRINTING United Digital Experience. “Offset Print Insight Day, will be easy to remember since it is Election Day, November 3,” states Jeff Wagner, President of G.E. Richards. “It is actually a key date in the 14-day series since offset print continues to be the cornerstone for commercial printers in North America. Offset printing accounts for the vast majority of revenue generated by commercial printers in our industry and we are proud to sponsor this event.”
“We are urging all commercial printers to tune into our virtual press demo that will take place in the afternoon of November 3, 2020,” says Rahul Kaushik, President of RM Machinery. “The RMGT 970 is an exciting new product and is the newest member to the RMGT 9 Series family of presses that boasts over 80 new installations in North America since 2014. In the last five years we have carved out a leadership position in the sheetfed offset press market in North America, and we are thrilled to introduce the RMGT 970 at the PRINTING United Digital Experience.”
