ProEDGE Systems.com Will Introduce a New Framing System
CHICAGO—September 9, 2007—ProEDGE Systems.com® utilizes a special “hi-tech” plastic edge molding, available in 11 colors, and a newly patented mitering device called the FastFRAMER. Together, they allow for quick and easy framing of any mounted print, photo or image from 2” x 3” all the way up to 8’ x 8’. To see a 6 minute video of the system in operation, go online to proedgesystems.com and watch both the “video demo” and the “epson video” to see this amazing device in operation, or better yet, see a live demonstration at Booth 5384 at Graph Expo ‘07!
ProEDGE Systems.com®, a division of Advantage Systems, Inc., is the manufacturer and patent holder of the FastFRAMER precision framing technology. Located in Central Missouri, the company offers three different models of cutting tools (wallmount, $1,395.00, desktop $1,495.00, and standalone $1,695.00). The FastFRAMER system can be ordered directly from the company, or any authorized ProEDGE® Distributor worldwide.
The special hi-tech moldings, which look like aluminum, but are actually made of a special hi-tech plastic co-extrusion, are available in 6 different gap widths and 11 different colors. The different gap widths allow the framing of photos or images mounted to virtually any standard graphic art board substrate, such as foamboard®, gatorfoam®, pvc, plexiglass, etc.
ProEDGE® uses a proprietary process for heat laminating a thin metallic veneer to an ABS plastic substrate. The result, according to Ric Brady, the company’s Founder, is a framing system that has “the best of both worlds”. The finished product “looks like” a metal frame, without all of the headaches. Vibrant colors include gold, chrome, pewter, brushed aluminum, brushed brass, polished black, matte black, red, white and blue.
“By utilizing our U.S. patented technology”, Brady said, “Our customers can measure, notch and install a ProEDGE® custom frame in about two minutes”. “The average aluminum frame takes a minimum of ten to twenty times more labor to miter and install”, Brady said, and “when everything is finished, it is virtually impossible to distinguish an image framed with an expensive polished aluminum frame from that same image framed with ProEDGE®”. There is a huge difference in material costs, installation labor, finished weight and tools needed to complete the job of framing the image in aluminum vs. ProEDGE®. Our prospective customer industries include Commercial Print, Digital Photography, Digital Printing & Signs, and anyone who seeks a “finished, professional edge”.
