PEMBROKE, NH—Precision Technology, a printer of direct mail advertisements, closed without warning Aug. 27, leaving 130 employees in shock and without jobs, according to the Concord Monitor. President and owner Dennis Savitsky owes the city more than $280,000 in back taxes, according to the paper, and is apparently in violation of the federal WARN Act, which stipulates that companies with more than 100 workers must provide 60 days closure notice.
Employees said there were signs that the company was in trouble. One 27-year veteran of Precision said the air conditioning was shut off during the height of summer.
