Precision Dialogue Direct of Chicago Takes Home Gold Ink People’s Choice Award
PHILADELPHIA—September 18, 2015—At the 2015 Gold Ink Awards Gala that was held on Sunday, September 13th during GRAPH EXPO 15 in Chicago, Precision Dialogue Direct of Chicago took home the People’s Choice Award for the direct mail campaign it produced for client PNC Bank. The entry titled, "PNC Bank Lending Campaign," which was entered into the Direct Mail category, is a seven-component direct mail piece that was produced on a Mitsubishi Diamond 3000 sheetfed press. The run length was 60,000 pieces.
The paper used for the puzzle component of this project was 150# Utopia premium silk cover from Appleton Coated; and for the envelope, 80# Anthem plus matte cover from NewPage. Inserting was done on a Pitney Bowes Flowmaster.
According to Pete Mikos, manager of print operations at Precision Dialogue Direct, one challenging aspect of producing the direct mail piece was configuring the diecutting so the puzzle pieces fit together and the piece stood up properly. "What makes this campaign unique is that it is interactive and intrigues the end user to put it together."
