PINE's Vendor Showcase Draws Crowd for Supplier Shopping and Networking
FRAMINGHAM, MA—April 16, 2009—Nearly 200 people from throughout New England’s $11 billion print marketplace converged on a hotel ballroom recently for Vendor Showcase, the largest gathering this year of leaders from the region’s graphic communications industry.
Print company owners, senior managers and other decision-makers browsed the aisles and talked with representatives of 41 participating vendors who pulled together to discuss how they can help print service providers save money and work more efficiently.
Many of the print company executives participated in Vendor Showcase to also pick up business tips from Frank Romano, a leading consultant who split his working career between working in the industry and teaching at Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Print Media. Today, Boston-based Romano is one the world’s foremost experts on the printing industry, how changes are impacting the industry, and what business owners must do to survive and thrive.
“We’re thrilled that so many people came out for the evening,” said Jim Tepper, president of Printing Industries of New England. “It is proof that vendor suppliers and print service providers continue to look for ways to improve what they do.”
