PI, PrintWorkers.com Offer Industry Job Board
PHILADELPHIA—Printing Impressions magazine has teamed with PrintWorkers.com on the Monday launch of a co-branded job board, jobs.piworld.com, to help match qualified-worker-starved printing companies with prospective employees for the prepress, press and bindery departments.
In addition to Printing Impressions, PrintWorkers.com will launch co-branded boards this month for other publications under the North American Publishing (NAPCO) Printing Group umbrella—Package Printing (www.packageprinting.com), BFL&S (www.bfls.com) and In-Plant Graphics (www.ipgonline.com).
PrintWorkers.com, an Internet job board for print, copy and Web professionals, reported that activity on its Website has grown at a rapid pace while it continues to build upon recent industry-related initiatives. In 2006, PrintWorkers.com enjoyed sales growth of 66 percent. Given current activity levels, the company expects growth in 2007 to be at least 25 percent annually.
“Having grown up in the graphic arts industry, we at PrintWorkers.com understand the industry’s struggle to find quality employees,” noted Brian Regan, COO for PrintWorkers.com. “We spend an inordinate amount of resources recruiting exceptional talent—which assures the success of our Website. Not many companies would be willing to work with us if our database could not provide qualified candidates.”
“We searched long and hard for a partner to help us with the job board on PIWorld.com,” added Dave Leskusky, group president, publishing director for NAPCO’s Printing Group. “Our relationship with PrintWorkers allows us to greatly enhance what we offer on PIWorld.com and all of our Websites, and provides tremendous value to our readers and our advertisers.”
