INDIANAPOLIS—ASG, a 40-year-old packaging and labels printing business, will close its doors this spring, resulting in the loss of about 200 jobs, WTHR-TV 13 reported. Employees will begin final shifts in mid-March, with a March 31 closure slated.
The company previously laid off 42 senior employees and began notifying the remaining 161 on Tuesday. The employees will receive severance pay and job search assistance.
Employees told Channel 13 that there were rumors during the past few weeks of a potential closure. Several stated that business had began to slow down when a new parent company took over ASG.
