New Printer in Adrian, MI, Fills Niche in Book Publishing, and Other Commercial Work for Customers
ADRIAN, MI—November 17, 2014—Angie Spencer, who has gone from owning her own construction company to becoming a published author, opened Ashton Z Printing on Aug. 26, 2014, at 1042 S. Main St. based here. The shop was formerly known as Legacy Printing, which had closed, reported The Daily Telegram.
Spencer decided to open the shop with longtime friend Janine Delcamp to help budding authors publish their novels. "I’ve published six books myself, and I just thought I’d start doing it for everyone else," she told the Telegram.
According to the newspaper, the full-service printer can produce both large and small jobs, such as start-to-finish hardcover and paperback books, brochures, postcards, birthday and wedding invitations, labels, letterhead, business manuals and invoices, and also has a fax service. The printer also has a niche producing DOT log inspection books.
"They’re something complicated and not every printer can do them," Spencer explained.
In addition to producing work for authors, Spencer said the shop also handles jobs for local businesses. Customers can also find other items in addition to their printing needs at the shop, such as gift items for sale in the store, including school spirit shirts, Christmas cards, and incense and incense holders, "and there’s still more to come,” Spencer said.
