New Jersey Printer Gets New Home and Press
WEST DEPTFORD, NJ—When RJ Graphics moves into its new 23,000-square-foot plant here, there will be a new, six-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi sheetfed press ready to go.
RJ Graphics built its facility from the ground up as part of a multimillion-dollar expansion designed to spur additional growth.
The Model 3F-13, which was delivered in March, is the firm's second Mitsubishi press. It joins a six-color, 28˝, Model 1F-13 that has been in operation at the printer's 7,000-square-foot facility in Deptford since 1997. Both presses are equipped with tower coaters and extended deliveries. Rated to run at up to 13,000 sph, they feature automatic ink roller cleaning systems, as well as remote controlled frontlay register and impression pressure, feeder and delivery presetting systems.
The Centralized Operator MakeReady And Control (COMRAC) allows operators to monitor and adjust virtually every press function from a computerized console.
"Our 28˝ Mitsubishi press helped take this company to the next level," says Robert Iannelli Sr., chairman and CEO of RJ Graphics. "Buying the 40˝press was definitely a move for growth. By keeping up with the latest technology, we're in a better position to attract larger jobs and offer faster turnarounds on shorter-run jobs," he adds. "Operating these two presses will put us in a powerful position for future growth. We will be able to deliver better and faster service to our customers."
The new plant sits on five acres of land and accommodates warehousing, prepress, printing, finishing and administrative functions.
