Thirty-two years ago, National Coming Out Day (NCOD) was founded on Oct. 11, 1988 by Robert Eichsberg and Jean O’Leary marking the first anniversary of the 1987 March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights.
Since then, on or near every Oct. 11, thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies celebrate NCOD; with workshops, speak-outs, rallies and other kinds of events all aimed at showing the public that LGBT people are everywhere … And we are!
In this very special episode of Podcasts From The Printerverse, Paul Nowak, VP, enterprise solutions at Quad, Michael Makin, executive VP at PRINTING United Alliance, and I share our stories and the importance of LGBTQ+ visibility in the workplace and the world.
It is our hope that this podcast will make a difference for someone out there, so please pass it along.
Listen Long and Prosper!
