Management Team Buys Miller Johnson
MERIDEN, CT—Five of its employees have purchased 66-year-old printing company Miller Johnson from CEO Spencer Miller, grandson of the firm's founder.
Miller, who will remain as chairman of the board, sold the company to Ron Ward, new CEO; Bob Carr, president; Glen Eggert, CFO; Douglas Gillespie, senior vice president of sales; and Sean Coane, senior vice president of sales.
"Miller Johnson has always been an innovator in our industry, and this is just another example of our ability to adapt to change," states Gillespie. "As an independent corporation, we see a unique opportunity to make Miller Johnson even more responsive to our customers and provide services that are built specifically to meet the unique printing needs of our clients, from six-color printing to on-demand and variable printing."
Miller Johnson specializes in full-color printing, finishing, binding, on-demand and variable printing services. The company has 65 employees and realizes $9.5 million in annual sales.
